This website was originally a forum for writing (hence the name!). It has now been redesigned to present wonderful e-books, and some extraordinary music that has been clinically proven to improve focus and concentration. We also offer this music through our charity fundraisers as Sharon Howarth Russell has agreed to share the proceeds just as we do. As well, we are able to offer deep discount pricing on stock on our Favourites page.
We previously offered “speed fundraisers” through a link to yet another website of ours, www.half4charity.com. A speed fundraiser is where we work with a non profit organization to raise funds during a specific time period (typically 2 weeks). Any shirts sold during that time period (and using the organizations identifying coupon code on checkout) resulted in the organization we’re working with receiving 50% of the net proceeds—that’s right, half. It’s an easy way for you to help someone else out while you are helping yourself.
We have now moved this idea back to our Creo Mundi website (www.creomundi.com) and are calling it “Creo Mundi Community”. Similar to the current setup it will run for 2-3 weeks. The main difference is that you will be able to choose what charity you want your portion to go to (with certain limitations—no groups sponsoring or fostering hatred will receive funds from us). There will be a drop-down menu with some charities listed, but there will also be a space for “Other” that you can complete. Only if you do not designate a group, will we decide where it should go.
The first two fundraisers through the half4charity site were the Nova Scotia Humane Society, and Starlight Children’s Foundation Canada. They were a bit slow, but that’s ok—we have to start somewhere! And as more people feel the benefit of the products for themselves, the more likely they will come back for more.
Sign up for the Creo Mundi newsletter (top left) so that you get word of the next Creo Mundi Community Event!
Come back often to check on our progress! Alison & Jocelyn
P.S. All purchases on this site, or through www.half4charity.com, will still go through the secure Creo Mundi shopping cart system. P.S.S. We plan to use the speed fundraisers to introduce new styles and colours, so make sure you have signed up for the Creo Mundi Newsletter to be kept informed of these launches!
About the Founders
Alison Prentice –President
Alison Prentice is the face, voice and head cheer leader for Creo Mundi, and for this latest website, www.mywritingonline.com. She enjoyed two successful prior careers as a nurse and a medical writer where she noted a lot of needless suffering and wanted to make a difference. A natural healer, and long time student of personal achievement and development, coming up with the Creo Mundi brand and vision was an ideal next step and career move for Prentice.
Since the day that she and long time close friend Jocelyn Herrett founded Creo Mundi, Prentice has tirelessly pursued their vision of a world where people are empowered, uplifted, and loving life by being surrounded by affirmative, high frequency words. She continues to be an unstoppable, driving force for the company and its growing roster of products selling throughout Canada and beyond.
Prentice, age 51, is a graduate of George Brown College in Toronto and the University of Alberta in Edmonton and now resides in Ontario, Canada.
Jocelyn Herrett –Executive Vice President
A citizen of the world, Jocelyn Herrett, was born in Ottawa, raised in France and on Prince Edward Island, Canada before living in Lethbridge (Alberta) and setting down roots in Ontario. Dubbed the “Dr. Phyllis” of Family Therapy, Herrett has helped thousands of people heal emotional wounds in her work as a family therapist over the past three decades. Her calm, cool and collected nature helped to foster the strong foundation and constitution of Creo Mundi and allows her founding partner Prentice to spread her wings and beat the Creo Mundi drum publicly. Herrett will also be a primary contributor to ebooks on this website.
After suffering stroke-like symptoms from near crippling complex migraines in 2001, Herrett went back to school to become a Personal Trainer and Nutrition Wellness Specialist. It was this condition and training that gave her the drive to heal others through her own adversities that made Herrett the perfect fit for developing the consumable product side of Creo Mundi. From her past crises, she is able to share her wisdom and help others achieve optimal health. Herrett, age 52, is a graduate of the University of Lethbridge in Alberta, The University of Calgary, and the Dalhousie University Maritime School of Social Work in Halifax, Nova Scotia. |

The “I can Do It” conference may be over, but the memories will last quite a while longer! Wayne Dyer (seen here with me) gave a 3 hour workshop that was amazing. |
